You could just tape a gel to the front of a grid I can’t remember using gels and grids together. Do others make gel holders that would fit the profoto grid reflector that accepts standard 7 inch grids? The profoto grid/gel holder that fits the zoom refelector, like all profoto stuff, seems way overpriced at $190 - gaffers tape is a lot cheaper per roll. I also use gels and grids together frequently. It is great, but would take too much space to carry four tube grids. Or, they also have the tube with grids on the end that fit directly on the D1 with no refelctor. I think it is an Impact grid problem, not a reflector problem. The grids aren’t a good fit I had to use self adhesive pads on the edge of the grids to get them to sit tight. I use a Profoto 7 inch reflector with Impact 10°, 20°, 30°, and 40° grids. Or, you can get the grid reflector that accepts standard 7 inch grids of other brands. And, the profoto grids are 4 times as expensive as other brand grids. I see you can go with the newer zoom reflector, and then the profoto brand grids attach directly to it, but can't use other brand grids. I'm looking for thoughts on grid and gel holders to fit Profoto D1 monolights.
